Tirana 8 December 2016 – The PINK Embassy joined today the welcoming letter that was prepared and signed by more than 20 NGO’s across the globe, sent to the first ever World Bank Adviser on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI).
Its almost 3 years that the PINK Embassy joined the global efforts of many civil society organisations asking the world bank to introduce new safeguards on gender equality and sexual orientation in all their projects and investments across the world. Only few days ago the WB took the decision to finally employ a SOGI adviser to the Bank but it has not yet approved a SOGI and Gender policy / safeguard. Attached you will find the welcoming letter sent to Mr. Clif Cortez, the SOGI Adviser.
