Tirana Pride 2025: Arm to Arm, one shared voice and a march towards a future without fear

Tirana, 24 May 2025 – PINK Embassy Albania, in cooperation with Aleanca LGBTI, Open Mind Spectrum Albania, Together for LGBTI and LGBTI Shelter, organised this morning one of the most important annual events for the LGBTI+ community in Albania, Tirana Pride 2025, held under the slogan “Arm to Arm”.

Dozens of citizens, activists, members of the LGBTI+ community and allies gathered in the heart of Tirana to march together in support of equality, dignity and human rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. The march became a space of solidarity and visibility, where individual voices came together into a collective call for freedom and equality.

At a time when the LGBTI+ community in Albania continues to face discrimination, hate speech and the lack of full recognition of rights, Tirana Pride 2025 delivered a clear and powerful message: unity and solidarity are our strongest response to hate and exclusion. Marching side by side means refusing to be invisible and demanding an open, fair and inclusive society.

Banners with empowering messages, rainbow flags and symbolic outfits reflected the diversity of the community and the courage to be one’s true self. “Side by Side” was not just a slogan, but a public call for unity and action, affirming that every individual has the right to live freely, safely and with dignity.

Participants emphasised that Tirana Pride is not only a celebration of identity and love, but also an act of resistance, awareness and advocacy. The march reaffirmed the urgent need for inclusive policies, effective legal protection and a public discourse grounded in respect for human rights and diversity.

Tirana Pride is for everyone who believes in human dignity. Whether you are part of the LGBTI+ community or an ally, your presence matters. Solidarity builds bridges, and unity remains the greatest strength we have in building a future without fear, hate or exclusion.
