PINK Embassy / LGBT Pro Albania is a non-profit organization that works to protect and promote the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer in Albania. The origins of our work are the mid-2000s with the activists group of Pro LGBT at CRCA Albania who first lobbied for legal advancements and created the idea of PINK Embassy. The first program began with "PINK Embassy" Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in cooperation with COC Netherlands, one of the oldest LGBT organizations in the country.

With its efforts and with the support of national and international partners, on May 17th 2012, PINK Embassy / LGBT Pro Albania organized the "Festival of Diversity", the first public event in the country in an open environment. This was one of the most decisive moments for the wide recognition of LGBT cause.

From July 2016, Pink Embassy is implementing the initiative “Fighting Homophobic bullying in Albanian schools” with the support of the US Embassies Democracy Commission Small Grants Program, which aims is to address the phenomena of homophobic bullying and to raise awareness of adolescents and society on the negative consequences that homophobic bullying and harassment bring to society.
